Today was supposed to be a fun & exciting recap of the New Year's fun we had. It was to include photos of kissing, tasty drinks, adorable outfits and probably a photo or two of yours truly. We had plans to attend a house party last night to drink, play pool, relax in the hot tub all while jammin' to good tunes.
Emphasis on the "had plans"
I worked yesterday meaning my love head lifted off the pillow at 5am. I didn't feel so great all day yesterday at work-migraine, nausea and exhausted. I was convinced however that a nap after work would cure all. So, I got home napped until about 7pm. Woke up and was feeling a bit better so hubs & I ordered a pizza and I got ready to go. Enter 8:30pm {aka...leave for party time} and I'm right back to how I felt all day...only worse.
Long story short, we missed the party.
I spent New Year's Eve half out of it on the couch.
And New Year's Day? Not.Any.Better
I literally stumbled my way through the day feeling all sorts of icky.
Therefore the recap I have for you isn't all that exciting.
This is what our New Years was supposed to look like:
And here's what it actually looked like:
And, to be honest I wouldn't have traded it.
I mean sure, I would have loved to not be feeling like crap.
But a cozy night with my hubs and pups? I'll take it!

We chose to do the same thing, minus the feeling like crap part;), and threw in some fancy dinner. But as for the party part, we made an excuse not to go and opted for a night at home together. Those nights always seem more fun anyways!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're not feeling well...sickness among staff is running rampant among our hospital. BUT...looks like you had a cozy night in, surrounded by the one you love! And pizza and 2 Broke Girls...it can't get better! Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling better! I love nights in just as much as I like going out.
